Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Officer

• eCommerce company that handles the web presence, marketing, design, support (including call center) and fulfillment for well known fashion industry designers as well as other companies.
• Scaled the company from small environment into an environment that can easily and quickly adjust to increased clients, volume and traffic both on websites and through warehouse fulfillment operations.
• Identified opportunity and devised system to serve images and interactive content, negotiated vendor agreements resulting in 80% cost savings as well as open up new revenue prospect.
• Re-engineered current ecommerce platform resulting in 65% less development time for new site launches and empowering departments and clients to perform tasks and bring them “live” immediately, trimming development resource requirements and time required for day to day changes and promotions. Allows for easy customization of platform for clients.
• Optimized IT infrastructure environment greatly increasing up-time and dramatically increasing performance and data integrity on websites, backend operations and internal IT systems.
• Defined system to streamline processes between receiving, photo studio, websites and clients for accurately tracking and making images available internally and externally.
• Negotiated and renegotiated vendor contracts resulting in annual cost savings, more beneficial alliances and augmented support and maintenance.

Vice-President/Director of Engineering

• Startup company offering same day delivery from local merchants to customers (now Delivery Edge).
• Designed web 2.0 ecommerce platform to query websites for inventory availability, offer complete checkout (while processing purchase at vendor sites), calculating driving distances, times and costs and dispatching appropriate delivery system. Developed database and system architectures.
• Identified, recruited and utilized remote and overseas to effectively develop systems savings more than 60% of development costs.
• Designed and developed site scraping programs for availability, pricing and location checks optimizing real time availability of data to websites

Management and Technical Consulting Services

Technical and management consulting services offered nationally, specializing in web, software and application development management. Interaction with all levels of management, including senior management, department and group management through individual developers and staff. Consulted and managed activities in proprietary and customized software solutions. Significant assignments include:

Siebel Systems Inc (San Mateo, California)
Consulting (Contract)/Project Plan Development

Consulting on Transora and UCCnet development for Siebel’s Universal Application Network technology, including data exchange, XML messaging, XML Schemas, integration, and Supply Chain including RFID tracking for major CPG companies. Included support for manufacturing, supply chain management, CRM (and eCRM), ERP and financials systems. Design integration with Oracle, Peoplesoft/JD Edwards, SAP and others.

Software Development Project Manager

Manage development, enhancements, UCCnet Certification and issue tracking, integration with Peoplesoft, JD Edwards, Siebel, including AS/400, Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems and servers.

iWay Software Div. of Information Brokers (New York, NY)
Consulting/Project Plan Development and Management

Design specifications and project plan to develop software adapters for UCCnet, Transora and Ariba technologies with vendor software such as SAP, Oracle (iProcurement, Purchasing, CRM) and Peoplesoft (CRM, SCM, ERP systems).

MCPC (Cleveland, Ohio)                                                                              
Consulting/Project Management for e-Commerce, eBusiness and Hardware (result of MCSi spin off)

Implemented Peoplesoft applications, data conversion from MCSi to MCPC included inventory, supply chain, customer support (CRM), payroll and HR (Peoplesoft) for branch off from MCSi. Included definition of requirements (hardware, resources, etc), training and support. Consulting and directed on operations, security, configuration and setup of B2B and B2C e-Commerce sites after MCPC was split off of MCSi.

Director, e-Commerce and e-Business

Director of all e-commerce activities, managers, developers, support and administrative staff. Responsible for staff development at all levels, team building, organizational structure, business development aspects with sales and pre-sales representatives, performance evaluation, conflict resolution and strategic planning.

• Managed all eCommerce and eBusiness initiatives, with sales nearly $1 Billion, and 70% of those sales through eCommerce portals. Acquired and managed $100 million eCommerce platform company located in Berkley, CA, streamlining all eBusiness activities from multiple systems and platforms under one proprietary system, directly integrating multiple sales offices, development and quality assurance locations, redundancy systems and warehouse locations.
• Directed all IT infrastructure and development activities with 20 direct reports and over 130 indirect reports in multiple locations worldwide, with an annual budget exceeding $50 million.
• Integrated over 10 acquired companies into corporate IT structure and systems, coordinated training and specific business needs among those acquisitions.

President/CEO

e-Commerce and Software Development

Company created by merging the assets of Universal Digitech and The Bidder Network. Developed auction and store front software that integrates with eBay auctions and stores. Software is still available today.

Director Software Development, Director Technical Support, Project Manager Office, Lead Developer/Architect, IT/IS/QA Manager/Director

Started as the lead developer, progressed to direct all development, quality assurance and tax departments of Payroll & HRMS system with some large, well known clients.

• Managed all development activities and direction from startup through IPO
• Directing the project and development managers, responsibilities included directing development staff, project management office, client services, sales issues and development plan, re-prioritizing continuously as the needs changed or new ones introduced, and making sure executive management was always abreast of progress, issues and any customer relationship changes.
• Directed staff growth to over 80 professionals including developers, supporting staff and quality assurance, with annual development budget between $2 and $6 million.
• Was originally recruited as the Lead Developer and Software Development Manager, and was very “hands on” throughout my tenure.
